Just
as people come in all different shapes and sizes, so does the
strength-training equipment, classes and training staff at Fitness
World. We offer three different circuits of machine weights Cybex Galileo, Body Masters, and Hammer Strength, so that
everyone can find the right machines to work with.
We
have an extensive free-weight area, plus three different kinds of
dumbbells located in the free-weight room, circuit room and aerobics
room. We have various sizes of exercise and medicine balls along with a
variety of equipment for abdominal exercises. We also offer several
classes a week that incorporate toning sections with free weights,
exertubes, and boxing gloves. And if you need some personalized help,
you can always turn to our staff of
certified trainers for fitness
orientation or
training sessions.
Hyper Training is an
innovative personal training experience that is perfect for anyone who
wants to push their athletic abilities to the next level.
By using specialized equipment and basic exercise techniques, this
program promises to deliver a workout experience above and beyond
anything Fitness World members have ever experienced!

Payment Options:
Pricing: $5 for members and non-members**
(non-members must pay $10 guest fee for admittance to gym, plus $5 fee
for Hyper Training)
Pay Ahead: You may purchase 10 sessions at a time on a punch card for
$50. Buying ahead means you can reserve your spot in the program 24
hours in advance of the session via telephone or in person.
The Orientation to Fitness (OTF)
serves two purposes. One is to provide you the opportunity to have the
following tests performed: weight, body fat, resting heart rate and
blood pressure. Second, during the orientation the topics of Nutrition,
Cardiovascular Training and Resistance Training will also be covered to
help ensure that you understand some of the basic do’s and don’ts.

Once the Orientation has been
completed you will be given the opportunity to have a goal specific
program designed to meet your Fitness objectives by one of our
Nationally Certified Elite Trainers. It is our goal to help every member
achieve a higher level of health and fitness. Having a gym membership is
just half of the answer; the other half is getting help from a personal
trainer to help you become successful at our facility.
Sessions need to be booked in advance at the front
desk. Cancellations need to be made 24 hours in advance of appointment.
Conducted by a certified personal trainer, this free assessment includes
a health pre-screening, basic measurements of heart rate, blood
pressure, and body fat percentage, and tests to assess muscular strength
and endurance, cardiovascular fitness, and flexibility. Results are
compared against population standards so you will know how fit you are
compared to others your age. This 45 minute assessment also includes a
fitness consultation and recommendations by the personal trainer. Sign

This free assessment provides you with an estimate
of your body fat percentage using skinfold calipers at 3 sites. Girth
measurements and calculation of you body mass index are also available.
